Skilled and long-term workers

This route allows employers to recruit individuals for specific roles within the UK. Skilled Workers must have an offer in an eligible occupation and meet both salary and going rate requirements.

Temporary workers

This route is for employees being transferred to the UK by their overseas employer as part of a graduate training programme for a managerial or specialist role. It has replaced the Intra-company Graduate Trainee route.

This route is for individuals who wish to enter the UK to provide services covered under international law, such as private servants in diplomatic households, employees of overseas governments or international organisations, or those covered under the General Agreement on Trade in Services (GATS) or other agreements to which the UK is a party. Workers sponsored on this route may stay in the UK for a period ranging from six months to a maximum of two years, depending on the specific international agreement.
